Add-on Course: Generative Artificial Intelligence
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing an Add-on Course on "Generative Artificial Intelligence" for III B.Tech ME students, scheduled from February 24 to March 1, 2025.
The course will be delivered by Mr. G. Balaji from Webvoid Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and will cover topics such as:
- Overview of Generative AI
- Domain use cases and basics of NLP
- Working with LLMs, RNNs, LSTM, and Transformers
Project Expo
Project Expo – Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter, is organizing a Project Expo on January 31, 2025, for II- and III-year students.
The expo will showcase innovative student projects addressing industry-defined problems, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical application of engineering concepts.
CRATE-2025 – National Virtual Conference
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing the 5th National Level Virtual Conference on "Recent Advances in Technology & Engineering (CRATE-2025)" on February 27–28, 2025.
The conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. N. Venkaiah, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Tirupati.
Faculty, research scholars, and UG/PG students from various institutions will present their research, covering a wide range of emerging topics in technology and engineering.

Alumni Talk
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing an Alumni Talk on “Core Placements” for II and III B.Tech students on February 22, 2025. The session will be delivered by Mr. Harsa Vardhan, System Engineer at Sipcot IT Park, Siruseri, Chennai, and an alumnus from the 2015 batch. He will share insights on career opportunities in core mechanical engineering and effective strategies for securing placements in the core sector.
